No Pastry Quiche
- 2 1/2 oz flour
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 medium eggs
- pepper to taste
- 150 ml single cream
- 200 ml semi-skimmed milk
- 4 1/2oz bacon
- 2 1/2 oz grated cheese (gruyere, cheddar, ..)
- Mix together 70g (2 1/2 oz) of plain flour, 1 pinch of salt, pepper to taste and 2 medium sized eggs. Then pour in 150ml of single cream and 200ml of whole or semi-skimmed milk. Fry 120g (4 1/2 oz) of bacon cut into small pieces.
- For the mixture into the appetizer dishes and sprinkle 70g (2 1/2 oz) of grated cheese (gruyere, cheddar...) over the top. Cook for 15 mins at 200°C / 400°F (Gas mark 7).
- You can replace the bacon with small shrimps or chopped sausage.
